More about Aluminium Gutters

Even though the product may cost more, the durability of Aluminium Gutters beats any other Guttering system.

A sheet of aluminium is pressed, in the specially designed pressing machine which can simply churn out miles at a time, depending on the length of the roll. The rolls of aluminium come in various colours and the machine we use can be set to either Ogee or Big Ogee mould, as seen below.

This has the advantage, as well as looking attractive on new buildings, it is the shape of most of the cast iron gutters used in times gone by. This of course means that it can be used as a good match on older properties. After the pressing of the gutters, the brackets are clipped into the gutter shape. The gutter is then screwed to the facia board at the correct slope, or fall and the positioning of the down pipes are then done. Snap seal outlets are used when PVC down pipes need to be connected to our aluminium gutters, meaning we don't cut corners by using less or alternativ e materials to save money.

Supplying and fitting these gutters is a simple, painless operation which takes no more time than plastic gutters. It is about 40% more expensive than plastic gutters, but it will last a lifetime!
